Notable assignments include the AKC National Championship, Afghan Hound Club of America National Specialty, American Sloughi Association National Specialty, Hungarian Sighthound Show, and the 2025 FCI World Dog Show.

Sweepstakes Judge – Wendy Anderson

Wendy Marquardt Anderson

HareHill Hounds

I began my involvement with purebred dogs in 1993 when I acquired my first Basenji, sparking a lifelong passion for sighthounds. During my years in Basenjis, I served as President of the Basenji Club of Southeastern Wisconsin and as an Advisory Director for Basenji Rescue and Transport.

In 1999, I welcomed my first Ibizan Hound, the legendary MBIS/MBISS CH Luxor’s Playmate Of The Year “Bunny.” Bunny became the top-winning Ibizan Hound in breed history, earning 43 Best in Shows, two National Specialty wins, and two Hound Group wins at the Westminster Kennel Club. Bunny was the #1 Hound in the United States in 2003.  She remains the foundation of HareHill.

Since 2004, I have bred multiple generations of nationally ranked Ibizan Hounds, including several Best in Show winners and winners of seven National Specialties. I currently serve on the Judges Education Committee and as a breed mentor for the Ibizan Hound Club of the United States.  In addition to Ibizan Hounds, I am currently involved in the showing and breeding of Greyhounds.

Beyond my breeds, I am actively involved in the sport as President of the Northern Illinois Kennel Club, Secretary of the Chicagoland Hound Club, and an Associate Member of the International Kennel Club. I hold regular status with the American Kennel Club for Ibizan Hounds and am working toward approval for additional breeds within the Hound Group.
